San Luis man pleads guilty in heroin case

PHOENIX, AZ- Prosecutors say he crossed the Arizona border with packages of heroin strapped to his thighs.

18 year old Victor Rubio-Herrera plead guilty in U.S. District Court in Phoenix Tuesday, to charges of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute.

Authorities say last November, Rubio-Herrera picked up the heroin in Mexico and was caught by Customs and Border Protection officers while he tried to ride a bicycle across the San Luis Port of Entry.

He will be sentenced at the end of July.
