WELLTON, AZ - A man accused of stealing a marine's vehicle and weapons has been indicted by a grand jury.
Jeffrey Mercado Valbuena was charged with theft by means of transportation, two counts of trafficking and stolen property, two counts of misconduct involving weapons, attempted possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Valbuena was arrested by Wellton Police on April 28th.
They say the victim, a San Diego based marine, called them from deployment in Afghanistan to say Valbuena was in the area with his belongings.
Valbuena remains behind bars on $20,000 bond.
He will be arraigned in superior court next week.
