San Luis family moves into new home - | News for Yuma, Imperial Valley, El Centro, AZ & CA

SAN LUIS, AZ- A San Luis family is in a new home thanks to the work of some involved community groups.

Francisco and Martha Saldana are the proud occupants of a new home that was built by Youth Build Americorps program and Comite de Bien Estar, Inc.

A home occupancy ceremony was held Wednesday morning and all those involved giving the new homeowners a round of applause.

Not only is it a big day for the couple but also for those that worked so hard to make their dream a reality.

The program to help build and fix up homes started in 2003 and to date about 22 homes and some 60 rehabs to homes have been able to be accomplished through it.
