Yuma, AZ--Court records show there was insufficient evidence for former Yuma Police Sergeant Torrin Fannin to be convicted.
Fannin faced one felony count of bribery of a public servant and one felony count of obstructing a criminal investigation.
The investigation began after a female victim came forward saying Fannin was demanding sexual acts in exchange for continued police assistance.
YPD said the allegations against him started in early 2010 and continued until September of last year.
Fannin was fired in October.
YPD said Fannin met the victim after responding to a call for service as an officer in November of 2009.
But court records show there is insufficient evidence to ensure a reasonable likelihood of conviction.
Sources told KSWT News 13 that Fannin is thinking about trying to get his job back.
KSWT tried to get a hold of Fannin but he could not be reached for comment.
