Yuma, AZ--Police surround a Yuma neighborhood after 24-year old Carlos Arellano barricaded himself inside a home.

They believe he was a member of a group who fled before Yuma police arrived on scene Tuesday morning where a man was shot in the back in an alley at the Walnut Avenue trailer park.

Police said shortly after 2 p.m. Thursday an officer spotted Arellano in the area of 3rd avenue and 20th street.

They did not say if he was driving a car or on foot.

Police said when Arellano was spotted he barricaded himself in a nearby home.

The special enforcement team and hostage negotiation team arrived on scene.

They said within an hour they were able to get Arellano out.

Sergeant Clint Norred spokesman for the YPD said Arellano was taken to the station for questioning.

Police are also looking into the identities of the other people who were in the group with Arellano.
