CALEXICO, CA - Two teens are behind bars after they tried to smuggle drugs across the U.S.-Mexican border.
El Centro Border Patrol says agents working in Calexico arrested a 17 and 18 year old after they saw them throw marijuana wrapped up in plastic bags over the border fence Monday night.
They followed the males and say they hid the drugs in a nearby laundry room at an apartment complex.
Border patrol says they are both U.S. citizens and they found them hiding in the apartment building.
They say the three packages of marijuana, weighing about five pounds, have an estimated street value of $4,000.
