Jonathon Ochoa
YUMA, AZ- One of several suspects arrested in the deadly baseball bat beating of a Yuma man is indicted by a grand jury.
Jonathon Ochoa will be arraigned later this month on five charges in the murder of 33 year old Kendall Smith.
Some of those charges include first degree murder, conspiracy to armed robbery and resisting arrest.
Ochoa remains behind bars on a $1 million cash only bond.
Since Ochoa's case has now been transferred to Yuma County Superior Court, a judge from another county will be seated in this case to avoid a conflict of interest, because Smith has a family member who works for the court.
