Convicted sex offender notification in Yuma

YUMA, AZ - A registered sex offender has a new address in Yuma.

The Yuma Police Department is notifying the public of a convicted and registered sex offender who is now living on the 1900 block of South Maple Avenue in Yuma.

Police describe Leland Robert Jones as 6'2 tall, 252 pounds and brown hair and eyes.

In 1984 and 1988 Jones was arrested and pleaded no contest for having lewd acts with two male victims under the age of 14 in San Mateo County, California.

Yuma Police say Jones has a high risk to re-offend.
