EL CENTRO, CA.- A historic church demolished in the Easter Sunday Earthquake two years ago now has some structure.
The framing and flooring is up at the Christ Community Church on Orange Avenue in El Centro.
During the 7.2 earthquake on April 4, 2010, walls were cracked, pillars split and the roof was falling to pieces forcing the church to be condemned.
Church officials say it'll take about $3 million to rebuild the new sanctuary.
They were hoping to have it finished by Easter Sunday this year but now its expected to be done by Christmas.
