YUMA, AZ - The Environmental Protection Agency announced today it will be awarding three cities in Arizona with $1.3 million: Yuma is one of those cities.
In an effort to clean up contaminated sites, boost local economies and create jobs while protecting public health, the EPA has awarded the City of Yuma $400,000.
The grant money will also be used for community involvement activities and for development of an area-wide brown fields plan.
The other two cities that will also receive funds are flagstaff and White Mountain Apache Tribe.
