ICSO: Heber CA Shooting suspect arrested - | News for Yuma, Imperial Valley, El Centro, AZ & CA

HEBER, CA.- Sheriff's deputies arrest a suspect in connection to a shooting over the weekend.

The Imperial County Sheriff's Office says Gilbert Vasquez shot at three people after a verbal dispute over personal matters.

They say luckily the trio was able to get away without being struck.

It happened Sunday in Heber on Maple Avenue and W. Hawk Street around 11:40 a.m.

ICSO says through descriptions provided by witnesses at the scene they were able to identify the 31 year old El Centro Resident.

In addition to Vasquez's arrest Thursday, deputies were able to recover the weapon used.

He faces charges of shooting at a occupied vehicle, assault with a deadly weapon and brandishing a firearm.
