YUMA, AZ - The former owner of the Arizona Marketplace, 51 year old Daniel Dinwiddie is arrested late Friday afternoon on charges of fraudulent schemes and theft.
Police say in April 2012, an investigation began into Dinwiddie's business practices at Arizona Market Place, 3351 South Avenue 4E. Police say the investigation revealed that Dinwiddie was accepting rent or deposits from vendors for next season, even though Dinwiddie already set in motion to close the business.
Police report there are multiple victims and the estimated loss is approximately $90,000. Dinwiddie will be booked into the Yuma County Detention Center for felony charges of fraudulent schemes and theft.
