El Centro--Mitt Romney easily won the California Republican presidential primary state wide
Locally, Romney took 79.46 percent of votes in Imperial County.
Romney will go on to take Democrat president Barack Obama in the fall.
For Imperial County superior court judge seat number 4, Brooks Anderholt leads at 52 percent against Ruth Montenegro who sits at 47.95 percent.
For judge seat number 3, Diane Altamerino has 51.43 percent of the vote ahead of William Derek at 48.57 percent.
In the race for Imperial County judge seat number 1, Juan Ulloa the leader with double the vote at 64.26 percent and Marco Rodriguez stands at 35.74 percent.
The seat for the Imperial Irrigation Director in division 4, Steve Benson is in the lead at 42.59 percent, current director Stella Mendoza follows with 38.3 percent of the vote followed by Jerry Santillan.
The seat for IID director in division 2, Bruce Kuhn leads at 44.94 percent, standing director John Pierre Menvielle has 31.62 percent and trailing Ruben "watchdog" Casarez.
The City of Calexico voted on two measures.
Supporters said a yes vote on measure "P" and "Q", could save the city money by changing the city of clerk and treasurer positions to no longer be elected but appointed.
51.8 percent voted yes on the measure.
The measure to appoint the city treasurer is in a tight race. 50.32 percent say yes while 49.68 percent say no.
Proposition 28, which will change the maximum term of legislators from 12 years instead of 14 passed with 71-percent of the votes in Imperial County.
One of the most controversial items on the ballot, the California initiative to raise the tax on tobacco products.
In Imperial County proposition 29 passed with nearly 55 percent of the votes.
State wide this vote remains too close to call as absentee ballots are still being reviewed. .
