$476,000 in meth discovered at Check Point near Salton City

Salton City, CA - More than $476,000 worth of methamphetamine was discovered in a vehicle traveling through a local border patrol checkpoint. 

Agents assigned to the Indio Border Patrol Station were alerted to a 20-10 ford pick-up trucks Saturday morning at the highway 86 checkpoint near Salton City.     

They say nearly 15 pounds of Meth was discovered hidden in a compartment in the center the vehicle.     

The 32-year old Mexican national was arrested and turned over to the DEA along with the vehicle and Meth.
