YFD: controlled fires in Yuma County non-threatening

YUMA, AZ - Brush fires in Yuma County are causing concerns for residents.

We have taken several calls from people asking about what they have seen in several areas today.

One of the fires reported today was a brush fire in the in the Winterhaven area.

But fire officials say that most of these small brush fires are controlled as they are clearing fields and brush. They say there is no reason to be alarmed.

They do agree they are hard not to notice.

However, they to advise do pay attention and if you see fire around any structures to contact them immediately.
