YUMA, AZ - Arizona Western College is coming to the aid of the Yuma Community Food Bank with a generous donation today.
Upward Bound students donated non-perishable foods from the group's campus wide food drive campaign over the last two weeks.
The Upward Bound students have been volunteering two days week for the last two years during summer camp.
This year they wanted to make a bigger difference.
"We made personal boxes and put them around campus and we asked people to come in and drop off boxes to give food for the food bank and we got a lot to give back," said Christian Randon, AWC Upward Bound student.
Upward Bound says they thank both those on campus and the people from the surrounding community that came and helped support the drive.
They say they are happy to be able to help the summer time needs of the food bank and they encourage you to remember them as well.
