YUMA, AZ- Two teenage boys were rescued from the Colorado River Monday afternoon.

The Yuma Fire Department says they found the 15 and 17 year old boys holding on to vegetation in an area under the Ocean to Ocean bridge.

Firefighters say the teens were in water over their heads and had become tired, unable to swim back to shallow water.

YFD personnel with personal flotation devices and other water rescue equipment, entered the water and brought both boys to safety.

Neither of the boys required any medical treatment.
