YUMA, AZ - Two major accidents in Yuma and one a fatal hit and run has police looking for witnesses.

Clint Norred from the Yuma Police Department Says, "The investigation is initially telling us he was struck somewhere before 4 and 4:21 in the morning when we got that phone call is when he was struck."

YPD says that phone call reported a man lying in the road on the 3800 block of West 24th street.

When investigators arrived on scene the victim, a 19-year-old male from Yuma was dead.

The City of Yuma says that particular area is part of new development and is in the books for more construction which would include more lights.

Prior to Tuesday's hit and run a 65-year-old man was struck shortly before 9 Monday night. Police say the collision occurred when he walked into the east bound lane in the 900 block of west 24th street.

Norred says, "He suffered Life threatening injuries and was later flown to a phoenix area hospital." Police say the driver a 23 year old male was not cited and alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
