Watermelon Bash draws large crowd

YUMA, AZ - In honor of the birth of our nation the American Legion Post 19 hosted their annual Watermelon Bash today.

Hundreds showed up to see local kids indulge in a watermelon eating contest.

All the young participants had their mouths full as they aimed to be crowned the winner of the Watermelon Bash. But unfortunately there could only be one winner.

The event also featured face painting, train rides, prices for all the kids and free food and drinks.
