Somerton Trailer Fire Leaves Family Homeless

SOMERTON, AZ - A trailer fire in Somerton leaves a local family without a home Saturday night.

Fire crews say Saturday morning they were called out to the 12-thousand block of South Somerton Avenue for a trailer fire. They say the trailer home was fully engulfed and is a total loss along with two family vehicles.

No injuries were reported but the family dog, which was tied up, died as a result of the fire.

The family is seeking assistance from the Red Cross.

Rural Metro and the Yuma County Sheriff's Office were on scene at the time of the incident.
