El Centro man’s death ruled a homicide

EL CENTRO, CA - El Centro Police have officially ruled the recent death of a 62-year-old man a homicide.

Today's autopsy revealed Melvin Green died of a sharp blow to his face.

El Centro Police have arrested his son, Neil Green, as a suspect.

He remains in custody on $1 million bond and faces one count of murder.

Green was arrested and booked into Imperial County Jail Friday night after calling 911 to get medical help for his father.

When police arrived, they found the body.
