YUMA, AZ - Police have arrested the person they believe fled the scene of a fatal hit and run accident that happened on July 3rd. The collision resulted in the death of 19 year old pedestrian Christopher Humbert in the 3800 block West 24th Street.
Police say they were following up on information provided by an off-duty Yuma Police Officer that led them to the 4600 block West Sharon Lane. They located a 2005 Dodge truck that had substantial front end damage and spoke to 26 year old Joseph Dildine. A front plate with an eagle was evidence left at the scene.
Dildine was interviewed and arrested. The truck was seized as evidence and Dildine was booked into the Yuma County Detention Center for manslaughter, leaving the scene of a fatal hit and run collision and driving on a suspended license.
