AWC student receive $70,000 in scholarships - | News for Yuma, Imperial Valley, El Centro, AZ & CA

YUMA, AZ - Well deserving Arizona Western College students have received over $70,000 in scholarships.

50 students from La Paz and Yuma County are the proud recipients of scholarships for the upcoming academic year thanks for donations from the community.

The awarded scholarships will go to studies including education, history, and agriculture.

The scholarships are funded through individuals and groups who donate in memory of a loved one or to honor someone.

AWC officials say that their generous donations help the college contribute to the community by educating their students and preparing them to integrate into the workforce.
