Hit and Run Suspect Appears in Court


Joseph Dildine the man accused of a fatal hit and run is facing several charges including manslaughter, leaving the scene of the accident and driving with a suspended license.

The 26-year old appeared in court for the first time at the Yuma County Justice Court house in San Luis.

"You came today to see if in 48 hours we will find out whether the state will file charges against you."  Said Yuma County Court Judge Lozano.             

Dildine is accused of fatally running over 19 year old Christopher Humbert last Tuesday morning  in the 38 hundred block of West 24th Street and leaving the scene.

Yuma Police arrested Joseph Dildine in the 46 hundred block of West Sharon Lane Wednesday morning.

Yuma Police also located a 2005 Dodge truck with front end damage, which is the vehicle they were looking for Dildine's bond is set at one hundred and fifty thousand dollars.     

Joseph Dildine is expected to return to court Monday.
