YUMA, AZ - After Friday nights rain storm an early morning fire has left one family homeless.
Firefighters were called out to the 8000 block of Shanon way in Yuma just before 6:30 Saturday morning after a neighbor reported smoke coming from under the garage door, this according to Rural Metro.
The neighbor says the family had left the home after being left without power due to last night's rain storm.
Rural Metro says the fire spread through the attic and shortly after firefighters started to attack the fire the roof caved in forcing them to fight the fire only from the outside.
Rural Metro says no injuries were reported and Red Cross is assisting the family. The cause of the fire is unknown and remains under investigation.
