YUMA, AZ – Two men are behind bars and another is at Yuma Regional Medical Center after a homicide suspect wanted in Nevada along with two adult males lead Police on a brief car chase Friday afternoon.
Yuma Police learned about 31 year old Daniel C. Scott, a homicide suspect with an arrest warrant in Henderson Nevada, staying in the Yuma area. When Yuma police located him outside a nearby hotel, they followed him as he drove away from the facility. When he failed to stop on Arizona Avenue, and tried to make a quick turn near 26TH Street, his car instead crashes into a brick wall in an alley way.
The suspect along with two adult males later came out of the vehicle and led police on a chase by foot.
"All three of adults fled the area from the vehicle however several officers converged on the area and we were able to capture all three including the suspect wanted in Nevada". Says Clint Norred with the Yuma Police Department.
Yuma Police had been assisting Henderson Police by first locating the suspect and the two other adults in a motel near 4th avenue before the pursuit.
Daniel C. Scott was taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center for injuries sustained during the crash.The two adult males riding inside the vehicle remain in a Yuma County Detention Center.
