IID workers find body in canal

EL CENTRO, CA - Imperial Irrigation District workers make a gruesome discovery over the weekend.

Imperial County Sheriff's Office officials say that IID workers found a badly decomposed body in the Woodbine Main Canal early Sunday morning.

They say the body has not been identified but they know it's a male.

ICSO says they don't suspect any foul play.

Because the area is frequent by immigrants, they have notified the Mexican Consulate.

Autopsy is scheduled for later this week.
