Yuma--Waylon's Water World is reopening after crews literally have been working around the clock to clean up the mess left by Friday's storm.
The rain storm sent hundreds and hundreds of pounds of dirt down the hillside and into the lazy river and pools..
Jay Walker, spokesman of the Waylon's Water Park said though the water park has its own filtering system, they hired two independent systems to help with the filtering process.
"It's like someone driving over with a dump truck and putting the dump truck of dirt into your pool and telling you, okay you cant drain your pool but you need to get all the dirt out." Walker said.
The storm had also washed out the nearby canal which made it difficult to drain out the park's water but he said they're just going to have to treat the water that they have.
Walker also wants to make it clear that Yuma County's Department of Public Health did not shut them down.
"We shut ourselves down, we could open right now if we wanted to but we want this park to be perfect for our customers," he said.
The hard work is paying off as Walker tells KSWT Friday morning they plan to reopen at 10:00 a.m.
