Teen Missing for Two Weeks

Posted:

YUMA, AZ - Today marks two weeks since a local teenager was last seen by his mother.

Christian Bense disappeared from a trailer park in the 3000-block of West 8th street with no car and 68 dollars in his pocket.

Cathy Bense says things were going well at home, and her son, Christian, is scheduled to graduate in October. She says he had hopes of joining the Coast Guard or becoming a firefighter.

Christian Kyle Bense, 17, is six-feet-tall with brown hair and blue eyes. He weighs 155 pounds and may be in the Tucson-Tombstone areas. At this point, the Yuma County Sheriff's Office believes Christian is a runaway. They've notified other agencies to be on the lookout for him.

"Right now, we don't feel it's anything more than just a runaway, but we've put in an ‘Attempt To Locate" which goes out statewide as well as adjoining states and nationwide," explains Lt. Darren Simmons of YCSO.

Christian's mother has tried to make contact with her son through his Facebook page and through his friends, but so far ... no luck. Anyone with information on Christian's whereabouts is asked to call the Yuma County Sheriff's Office.
