Rural Metro exceeds Coat Drive goal - | News for Yuma, Imperial Valley, El Centro, AZ & CA

YUMA, AZ - Hard to think about needing a coat or cold weather clothing in the middle of July but many of you did.

Rural metro just completed its drive for colder weather items that will go to those that need the help when things turn chilly this winter.

They started the drive on July 10, 2012 and it wrapped up just a short while ago.

They exceeded their goal of 10,000 pieces. 

"We got a huge outpour of support for this event. We got blankets, coats, linens and just thankful for everything that was donated," said Charly McMurdie with Rural Metro.

Rural Metro may not be collecting items any longer but they do remind you there are agencies in your community that are always in need of clothing.
