Yuma-A record-keeper for Sprint Nextel Communications returned to the stand for cross-examination by the defense.
The defense was trying to determine Preston Strong's location when he made phone calls the day Doctor Satinder Gill was murdered.
Jeff Strohm testified yesterday that Strong used signals from cell phone towers located near the doctor's home.
However, he told the court this morning that he cannot pin point the exact location where a phone call was made.
"I cannot say based on the cell-site info that the phone was in a specific area. I can say based on the cell-site info that based on the cell tower that was utilized whether or not a phone call was consistent from the area or not," Strohm said. "I cannot give the specific location of the phone."
The defense questioned Strohm if he knew whether the phone was at the doctor's resident.
"And that's what were trying to get at, you can't tell us the specific location of the phone can you?" Strong's attorney Kristi Riggins, of the Yuma County Public Defender's Office said.
"No," Strohm replied.
"Specific in the sense to give a residence?" Riggins asked.
"No," he said.
The cell phone record keeper could not give a percentage on his certainty that Preston's cell phone calls were made at the doctor's residence.
