Laundry Iron Left On Causes Trailer Fire

Yuma, AZ - An early morning trailer fire was caused by a laundry room iron being left on according to Mike Erfert with the Yuma Fire Department. The fire was reported in a mobile home in the Western Trailer Park, 2002 West 8^8th Street about 7:30 Tuesday morning.

Yuma Fire Department personnel arrived to find smoke and flames in the mobile home. Firefighter's entered the home and quickly extinguished the fire. Damage was limited to a closet and surrounding area, including a couch.

The residents were not home at the time the fire was discovered. Due to the damage the residents will not be able to reoccupy the home before repairs are done.
