KSWT's Steven Comer reviewing how our local schools scored
Phoenix, AZ– Superintendent of Public Instruction John Huppenthal for Arizona announced the release of Arizona's A-F letter grades for all district and charter schools in the state. In accordance with ARS 15-241 the Arizona Department of Education (ADE) is charged with attributing letter grades to every district and charter school in the state.
These letter grades are based on the weighting of student performance on the AIMS tests and student academic growth from year to year, along with additional points awarded for high English Language Learner reclassifications, and significant reductions in dropout rates. Every school and district receives a report card with a grade that reflects their annual academic profile.
We have included a link so you can see how your school scored. KSWT's Steven Comer is taking a closer look locally and will have more starting on KSWT First News starting at 4:00p.m.
