Yuma, AZ - Rural Metro reports a resident in the foothills called to report that a shed had slid off of the bricks holding it off the ground in a strong storm Sunday. The caller said there was a cat trapped under it.
Rural Metro responded to Tanja Dr. and found a small shed that had slid from the bricks holding it off the ground and there was a cat trapped. The fire fighters say they quickly went to work to lift the shed up with a jack and rescue the cat. They say after a short time, the cat was freed but appeared to have been injured.
Capt. Dale Pearson handed the cat to the owner and advised him the cat needed immediate medical attention. The owner took the cat back to residence and the fire fighters went back to work to put the shed on the brick foundation minus the cat. We will work to get an update on the cats condition.
