WELLTON, AZ- A local woman released from custody and admitted to the hospital is now behind bars again.

Wellton police arrested 51 year old Elizabeth Stewart over the weekend after finding dangerous drugs for sale and unknown chemicals inside the home she was living in.

Following Stewart's arrest she was transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center for proclaimed medical conditions.

She was released from YRMC Wednesday afternoon and turned herself in.

However, police say 45 year old Gary Durwin was also arrested with Stewart and then taken to the hospital for further evaluation.

They say he has not turned himself in since previously being released from YRMC and he remains on the loose.

Police found marijuana, methamphetamine, needles, measuring scales and unknown chemicals in their Wellton home on the 2900 block of San Jose Avenue.

The home is just 30-feet away from Wellton Elementary.
