Gary HandYUMA, AZ- A man wanted for allegedly selling drugs near Wellton Elementary School is now behind bars.
Wellton police say thanks to tips being called in from our viewers, they were able to locate and arrest Gary Hand in Yuma Friday.
They say Yuma police assisted them in capturing Hand at a residence in the 2700 block of South Avenue 2 1/2 E.
WPD says Hand attempted to flee from the residence but was quickly taken into custody.
The 45 year old was arrested over the weekend by Wellton Police after they found dangerous drugs for sale and unknown chemicals inside the home he was living in.
Following Hand's arrest Sunday, he was transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center for proclaimed medical conditions, and later released.
Police say he was suppose to turn himself in afterwards but never did.
He will go before a judge Saturday afternoon.
