Woman Arrested Attempting to Smuggle Drugs into Calipatria State Prison

CALIPATRIA, CA – A California woman is busted trying to sneak in drugs at Calipatria State Prison during a visit with an inmate.

Cal Pat officials say 24-year-old Valerie Ann Gonzales from Adelanto California was arrested for having 28.6 grams of suspected heroin.

They say Gonzales introduced the drugs during a contact visit with her uncle Marvin Gonzales

She was arrested by Cal Pat officers and taken to Imperial County Jail for processing.
