Brawley teen arrested for fatal hit and run - | News for Yuma, Imperial Valley, El Centro, AZ & CA

EL CENTRO, CA- A Brawley teenager is arrested in connection to fatally hitting a pedestrian with his vehicle and then leaving the scene.

California Highway Patrol says Jeremy Justin German was driving westbound on S-22, east of Willson Avenue, when he struck an unidentified 50 year old woman Tuesday night.

CHP says German was going 35 mph and failed to see the woman.

They say he continued driving to Borrego Springs after fatally striking the woman, who was pronounced dead on scene.

CHP says the 18 year old later returned to the crime scene. He was arrested and booked into Imperial County Jail for hit and run.

The collision remains under investigation.
