Posted: Updated:

Yuma--A Wal-Mart cashier took the stand to answer questions from prosecutors about Preston Strong walking to the store's customer service desk with a large stacks of money and purchasing money orders.

Prosecutors showed Wal-Mart's surveillance video from November 1st 2007.

In the video, Strong is seen taking out a big stack of money. The witness said she was counting bills that were 50s.

The witness said Strong was trying to purchase more than $3,000 in money orders.

However she said due to the Patriot Act-when a customer requests more than $3,000 in money order, the customer must provide a government issued ID to be on file.

The witness said that Strong did not provide an ID and settled to get a lesser transaction amount.

Prosecutors also showed a receipt of the transaction and it showed that Strong ordered 4 money orders in the amount of $950 and one money order for $400.

Investigators say Dr. Gill was murdered November 1st and $24,000 in cash was missing from his home.

Past testimonies said the doctor requested for his bosses step-daughter to pick up a check at his home on November 1-st, which was left under the doormat, cash it and then return the money to him.

Police said the money dropped off was in 50 dollar denominations.
