Yuma, AZ- It's the 11th day of trial and several people gave testimony. The court heard from a Wal-mart employee, a former manager of an Applebees, a custodian of records for Quest and the most notable was a friend of Preston Strong.
Her name is Lillian McCurley, she is the owner of McCurley bail bonds in Yuma. McCurley testified she met Preston Strong at her daughters house 6 years ago.
She doesn't believe Strong is the suspect who killed Dr. Satinder Gill.
"He couldn't have done this, I don't believe he would harm anyone, he has always been very nice," says McCurley.
McCurley testified she told Yuma Police in December 2010 that Strong was hanging around her business most of the day on November 1st of 2007 which is the day Dr. Gill was murdered. She said he was using her companies services for an unrelated case and he was going to be sentenced the next day.
McCurley did testify however that Strong left several times throughout the day and would come back.
Prosecutors also brought up that McCurley had originally testified about a kitten Strong found and brought into their business.
"I didn't want the Kitten, so he took the kitten for himself. I said that maybe happened in 2007 or 2008 but I'm not sure that it happened on that day," says McCurley.
Prosecutors wanted to know if she was aware that cat hair and footprints had been found in a bedroom of Dr. Gills home. Friends and family testified to police Dr.Gill did not own a cat and no one was aware of him caring for one.
