Less than 25 percent of Yuma County early ballots turned in

Posted:

YUMA, AZ - With the primary election just around the corner, Yuma County officials say it is crucial to turn in early ballots in a timely fashion.

The deadline to turn in early voting ballots is August 28, 2012, which is also Primary Election Day.

In order for an early ballot to be counted, it must be turned in to the Yuma County Recorder Office by 7pm. They are located at 410 Mained Lane.

County officials also say that of the 26,000 ballots sent out, they have only received 2,800.

They say that not getting the ballots in ahead of time can delay the election results.
