Stolen Vehicle leads to High Speed Chase and Arrest in El Centro

EL CENTRO – A high speed vehicle pursuit leads to an arrest in El Centro Friday just before midnight.

The El Centro Police Department says 35-year-old "Jason Daniel Jones" led them on a 40 minute chase reaching speeds of up to 100 miles per hour.

Police attempted to pull Jones over when they spotted him in a car reported stolen by his grandmother.

The chase started at Imperial and Main Street in El Centro and covered city, freeway, and county roads before ending back in the city where the arrest was made. No body was hurt.

Jones was booked into Imperial County Jail and faces multiple charges including auto theft, evading law enforcement and reckless driving.
