Yuma P.E teacher pleads not guilty to possession of child porn

Yuma, AZ- 37- year old Michael cox went before Superior Court Judge Maria Elena Cruz for an arraignment this morning and he pleaded not guilty to all ten counts of child exploitation of a minor.

He is the Yuma Union High School P.E teacher and athletic trainer who was arrested this month for charges involving child pornography. A search warrant was served at his home on the 2900 Block of South Palo Verde Lane detectives seized several electronic media devices.

Police say Cox admitted after his arrest to having videos and pictures of young children being sexually abused but today entered a not guilty plea.

Cox has been a teacher with YUHSD since 1998 he has been reassigned and is not allowed on school property. He remains behind bars with a bond of $750,000 dollars he is due back in court in October.
