Phoenix, AZ - The National Weather Service in Phoenix already has had parts of our area under a flash flood advisory and portions of the Imperial Valley under a flash flood warning. That could continue this afternoon. Persistent showers and embedded thunderstorms continue to align north of a circulation center over the northern gulf of California.
There is some instability and the earlier rain we have had in parts of the area may redevelop with some afternoon heating. KSWT Chief Meteorologist Garry Frank is watching the chances of more storms and will be updating you through the day.
Remember to never drive through flooded roadways as you may not be able to see just how deep the water is. Turn around , don't drown.
KSWT is always interested in your weather pictures and videos. Send them to news@kswt.com. Stay safe!
