Yuma man accused of making bomb threats appears in court

YUMA, AZ - The man accused of making bomb threats at a mental health clinic in downtown Yuma last week, was in court today.

Benjamin Martinez made his first court appearance this afternoon at Yuma County Justice Court following his arrest Friday morning.

He is facing a felony charge for hoax after police say he was behaving erratically in the lobby of the Mountain Wellness and Health Clinic.

The out-patient facility was evacuated and Martinez surrendered without incident.

He is out of custody on $25,000 bond and will be back in court later this week.
