NAF-El Centro receives national award

EL CENTRO, CA - National recognition for the Naval Air Facility El Centro and for something you may not guess.

The Base Child Care and Youth Center has received the National Commander's Award for Design Excellence from naval facilities engineering command headquarters in Washington. The project was completed in July 2010.

The National Design Awards Program recognizes exceptionally designed projects that promote design excellence in the planning, design, and construction of facilities serving Navy and Marine Corps commanders, war fighters and their families.
