YUMA, AZ- A Yuma man accused of shooting at his ex-stepfathers vehicle outside a doughnut shop earlier this year pleads guilty to attempted murder.

David Gastelum changed his plea Wednesday before Yuma County Superior Court Judge David Haws.

Yuma police say after a dispute with his ex-stepfather at Arizona Donuts on Avenue B in March, Gastelum opened fire at his vehicle striking the backseat of it.

They say a 2 year old was in the vehicle at the time.

Gastelum was facing several other charges but those were dropped per his plea deal.

He will be sentenced next month.

His brother Joseph was also arrested at the time for interfering with the investigation.
