Yuma Police issues press release detailing Jessie Teposte Robbery

The Yuma Police department press release detailing the robbery of a Yuma business at 1225 W. 8th St on September 27, 2012:

 

On Thursday, September 27, 2012 at approximately 2:09 pm, Yuma Police Officers were dispatched to the Arco Iris, 1225 W. 8th Street in reference to an armed robbery. 

The investigation revealed Jessie Teposte went into the business armed with a weapon and demanded money. Teposte was given an undisclosed amount of money and fled in a white, 1996 Nissan Altima being driven by a female. 

The female driver was later detained and questioned.  After questioning she was released. TESPOSTE is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5-4, 140 lbs, with multiple tattoos.  He was last seen wearing a gray shirt, gray shorts and a gray baseball cap. 

YPD officers and the Special Enforcement Team along with the assistance of the Department of Corrections K-9 Unit conducted several searches for Teposte in which met with negative results. Teposte should be considered armed and dangerous.
