Dust off your bowling bag, Inca Lanes in Yuma is reopening soon!

Yuma, AZ- Bowlers can get ready to strike it up again at Inca lanes in Yuma starting this Monday.

There are 40 newly remodeled lanes, a new state of the art scoring system, shiny stainless steel kitchen equipment and new large LCD TVS. Inca Lanes was built in 1987 by a group of local investors and later on the Thomas family became the sole owners of it. For 11 years they leased the business to AMF bowling. In July AMF abruptly closed the doors.

"We thought as a family we have to make a decision to reopen it and we did. Here it is 3 months later, much of it is the same, much of it is different," says Christy Thomas.

The Thomas family says they are excited to have the place up and running again, and so are their good customers.

"I'm Glad this place is opening up. l bet it will pick up really fast," says Walt Reiger, an avid bowler.

Walt Reiger and Ed Wagter have been bowling at Inca Lanes since they can remember. The owners invited them to come test out the lanes before the grand opening.

Wagter tells News 13 about his experience today.

"I would give this place top ratings," says Wagter.

Cathy Franklin will return as Inca Lanes's general manager and about 20 other employees will fill the waitstaff, bartenders, and general area positions. All 20 are local Yumans.

Many of the new employees were in throughout the day for training.
