4.5 Magnitude Earthquake reported near Ocotillo

Ocotillo, CA- The United States Geological Survey reports a 4.5 magnitude earthquake hit an area near Ocotillo early this morning.

The earthquake occurred at approximately 1:28 early Tuesday morning and even some residents in the El Centro area report feeling it.

The USGS says the earthquake originated about 34 miles from El Centro and about 10 miles from Ocotillo.

According to the USGS, the depth of the earthquake was measured at 4.3 miles.

There are no reports of damage.
